The Photographer’s Camera Bag

The Photographer's camera bag- what is inside?

I change bags very often, therefore, I use the camera bag insert to turn any bag into a camera bag. Technically my bag is not a photographer's camera bag. But when I have a pre-booked outdoor session and I do know exactly what equipment I will need, I do use a small Jealiot camera bag which I found on page www.amazon.co.uk.

In any of my bags you can always find:

  • business cards (designed by me)
  • lip gloss (Victoria's Secret)
  • hand sanitizer and tissues
  • phone Samsung Galaxy S8+
  • glasses +1.75 for reading small prints and sunglasses in very sunny days
  • a notepad to make some notes or draw when I get inspired
  • some book for reading.
The full list of my gear

Nikon D3200 was my very first DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera. I use it to learn how to make photography and films. But since I bought another camera Nikon D7500, I had to upgrade my bags. Recently I bought the Manfrotto backpack because this bag fits the standard to fit as carry-on luggage.
And now, here is the list of my photographer's gear:

  • two camera bodies- Nikon D7500 and D3200
  • JJC neoprene straps
  • lens AF-S Micro Nikkor 40mm 1:2.8G
  • lens AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G II
  • lens AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm1:4-5.6G
  • lens Tamron AF 70-300mm 1:4-5.6
  • lens Sigma 150-600mm 1:5-6.3 DG
  • lens attachments: 52mm Wide Angle Lens
  • 52mm Precision Pro Digital Wide Converter
  • gradual filters (set of six)
  • Circular Polarizing (CPL) Filter
  • FLD filters (fluorescent light lens filters)
  • couple lens hoods
  • extra caps for bodies and lenses
  • extra batteries: three of EN-EL14 Li-ion for D3200, three of EN-EL15 LI-ION for D7500
  • four chargers (one for each camera, one for phone, one for rechargeable batteries of lighting)
  • extra memory cards: SanDisk Ultra 64 GB SDXC Class 10 Memory Card up to 80 Mbps, three of SanDisk Ultra 32 GB SDHC UHS-I Memory Cards up to 40 Mbps
  • Spider Pro single camera system (the belt)
  • Travel Camera Tripod Monopod with Ball Head- very handy for time-lapse and low light photography.

My Lighting System

Mostly I am a natural light photographer, therefore, my lighting gear is very little.
  • Speedlight SB-700
  • Lastilite Joe McNally Ezybox Speed-Lite 2Plus
  • Lastolite Fabric Grid for Ezybox Speed-Lite 2
  • Portable 66LED Handheld Wand 5500K Colorful Tube Lamp
  • 5 in 1 reflector two sizes
  • two of Konig photography light stands.

Generally, I make a shooting plan at first what I am going take pictures of. I do prefer to travel light.
